The purpose of the foundation is the promotion of education and science (Statutes, § 2). The foundation aims to implement this objective by organising interdisciplinary colloquia with internationally renowned scientists who present the current status of research in a way that can be understood by anyone.

The colloquia are open to participants from all social areas who want to engage in a scientific debate of the essential questions of life and are ready to discuss current as well as future problems of our society in a responsible way.
