The previous climate narrative was based on a warming of 1.5 °C. In reality, however, we are heading towards a world with 3 °C warming. The consequences of such a development are not linear: a three-degree world is not a mere doubling of the effects of a 1.5-degree world.

That’s why we need a new climate narrative – and journalists who can bring it to society. The climate journalism seminars focus on the urgently needed new narrative. In addition to the basics of constructive journalism, experts provide in-depth background knowledge, explore key topics together with up to 30 participating journalists in workshops and give practical tips on how to present complex content in an understandable way for civil society.
