Book series The Sustainability Project

As part of the educational initiative Courage for Sustainability, renowned scientists present the current state of research on thirteen key topics in the field of sustainability in a generally understandable way and offer possible alternative courses of action. The questions asked include: Are we using the earth properly? Are our natural resources in danger? What needs to happen to secure our future on planet Earth?

In thirteen books (S. Fischer Verlag, 2007-2009), the functions of the earth and the activities of humans are presented in their interrelationships and different facets of the existing interactions are illuminated. Each individual title is dedicated to its main topic in such a way that it remains systemically linked to the other volumes in the series. An updated anthology of the book series was published in 2016.
