The ZEIT WISSEN Courage for Sustainability Prize was awarded in the following categories in 2020:

Category KNOWLEDGE

Winners in the KNOWLEDGE category are characterized by long-term commitment or a breakthrough in research or knowledge transfer. The KNOWLEDGE category is endowed with 10,000 euros.

Category TRADE

For potential award winners in the ACT category, sustainability is at the heart of their corporate philosophy. They stand out as committed entrepreneurs or as established companies with a long-term commitment.

Category DURCHSTARTEN

(since 2017) Winners in the DURCHSTARTEN category are young entrepreneurs with innovative, scalable business models that have sustainability firmly anchored at their core. Winners in the DURCHSTARTEN category receive 10,000 euros in prize money.
