Dr. Michael Kopatz, German environmental scientist, lecturer and project manager at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy (on leave from 08/2022 – 07/2028). From 2011 to 2017 he was a lecturer at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the University of Kassel. In the local elections in Lower Saxony on September 11, 2016, he was elected to the Osnabrück City Council for the Alliance 90/The Greens party. Since July 2022, Head of the Department for Climate Structure Change, Building, Urban Planning and Mobility of the City of Marburg.
