13th colloquium for young academics

GLOBAL CLIMATE NEUTRALITY 2050 ?!

In order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, global climate neutrality is necessary by the middle of the century. This goal was set as part of the Paris Climate Agreement and signed by 195 countries. But how can this be achieved? In this interdisciplinary face-to-face seminar with lectures and workshops, we will discuss:

  • Challenges of climate change
  • Pathways to transformation
  • The role of the media and civil society

The majority of the speakers will accompany you throughout the entire colloquium, ensuring a direct exchange at all times. The workshop phases in particular offer the opportunity for intensive collaboration and networking.

The conference venue is the modern conference and meeting center of our long-standing educational partner, the Europäische Akademie Otzenhausen. It is located in the “heart of Europe” in the border triangle between Luxembourg, France and Germany on the edge of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. The academy offers a special seminar experience with a wide range of activities.

  • Participation is open to postgraduates (Master’s students and doctoral candidates)
of all disciplines as well as Bachelor students starting their final thesis
  • Minimum number of participants: 30
