Establishment of “Forum für Verantwortung – Stiftung für wissenschaftliche und nachberufliche Bildung” (Forum for Responsibility – Foundation for Scientific and Post-Professional Education) by the founder and CEO Klaus Wiegandt. The purpose of the foundation is “to promote education and science in order to enable people to act with insight and responsibility”. Founding Board of Trustees: Arno Krause (+), Annette Maas, Hans-Dieter Metz (+)

2006

The name of the foundation is shortened to “Forum for Responsibility”. “Courage for Sustainability”, the joint educational initiative of the ASKO Europa-Stiftung, the European Academy Otzenhausen and the Forum for Responsibility, is launched.

2010

Anne Wiegandt appointed to the Board of Trustees

2011

Constituent meeting of the newly founded “Sustainable Development” support group in December

2014

Jürgen Kerwer appointed to the Board of Trustees

2015

To mark the 15th anniversary of the foundation, the Foundation Report
2015 “From evolution to sustainability 2000 – 2015” is presented.


2016

To mark the 10th anniversary of the educational initiative “Courage for Sustainability”
the anthology “Courage for Sustainability. 10 Ways into the Future” (A Sustainable Future – 12 Key Areas of Global Concern) is published in German and English (S. Fischer / Haus Publishing)

2020

20 years of the Forum for Responsibility

2022

Publication of 3 GRAD MEHR by oekom, 10,000 copies sold in the first half of the year

2023

Klaus Wiegandt retires from operational business as a member of the Management Board and moves to the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees elects a new, honorary Board of Directors:
Thomas Fell (Chairman), Anne Wiegandt, Jürgen Kerwer

Board of Trustees: Klaus Wiegandt (Chairman), Hans-Werner Scherer (Deputy Chairman), newly appointed by the founder: Marie Kremer, Christian Falkowski, Dr. Stefan Kroll
