Challenges in times of multiple crises
For two decades, wealthy countries have failed to invest adequately in climate mitigation and adaptation policies. Due to the overlapping crises since Corona, which are associated with enormous financial burdens, politicians worldwide continue to provide completely insufficient funding for the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. What are the solutions to this dilemma?
In this interdisciplinary face-to-face seminar with lectures and workshops, we discussed the following topics:
- New narrative on climate and biodiversity change
- Water in climate change – challenges posed by snow drought and melting glaciers
- Biodiversity loss – the unknown and ignored drama
- Artificial intelligence – opportunities and risks for humanity
- Wars and crises everywhere: where does the sustainable world order stand?
Scientific direction and moderation:
