Federal Environment Competition award ceremony

The BundesUmweltWettbewerb (BUW) is an annual, nationwide project competition for teenagers and young adults with an interest in the environment/sustainable development. There are cash and non-cash prizes for the various main, special, sponsorship and recognition prizes with a total value of over 25,000 euros. In addition, selected prize winners will be put forward for the German National Academic Foundation’s selection process.

Registration for the BUW and submission of the project work takes place online by March 15 of each year.

The last award ceremony took place on September 28, 2024 in Hamburg.
