Prof. Dr. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, Professor of Biology, retired University President, from 1998 to 2005 he was a member of the German Bundestag and Chairman of the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of the German Bundestag. From 2012 to 2018, he was Co-President of the Club of Rome.
