Die Erde hat Fieber
Courage for sustainability
The audiobook on the future of the earth
On the surface, something is happening: 15 years after the famous Rio Conference, the whole world is now talking about the climate. The EU has set itself ambitious goals. Climate protection is a topic at the G8 summit. But is that enough?
In fact, sustainability means much more than just climate protection. Water is becoming scarce, the desert is spreading, biodiversity is dwindling because we are overexploiting our planet. The climate – like the fever – is just a symptom of a deeper problem: humans are interfering massively with the earth’s natural cycles, its metabolism and the chemistry of the oceans. We are consuming so many resources and depleting so much of the earth’s natural resources that the planet will not be able to support the ten billion people who will inhabit it by the end of the century. So what needs to happen?
