The high consumption of resources for our prosperity leads to major difficulties with the environment. In addition, there is a serious inequality of distribution: currently, only around 20% of humanity benefits from 80% of nature consumption. More than two planet Earths would be needed to enable everyone to lead the kind of material lifestyle that is common in Western countries today.
